On 12th July 2022, USCIS published a new set of guidelines affecting investors preparing their petition for EB-5, an immigrant investor visa in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Specifically, a new I-526E form is now required for petitions coming from regional center investors. USCIS<\/a> stated a warning in case an improper form is used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n We will reject all Forms I-526 when it indicates that the petitioner\u2019s investment is associated with a regional center. Petitions for classification under INA 203(b)(5)(E) should be submitted on Form I-526E.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Those applying with a direct EB-5 investment should continue using the I-526 form.
